Las Vegas
Asian Student Union

About
What do we strive for?

Las Vegas Asian Student Union connects high school communities across Southern Nevada.

Founded in 2023 by high school student Cevan Louie, Las Vegas Asian Student Union (LVASU) is a coalition of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) high school communities.

We strive to encourage an appreciation and understanding of AANHPI culture through community service, cultural events, and advocacy.

Mission
We are committed to creating an interconnected AANHPI youth community, reaching over
18 schools and 50 student organizations!

The AANHPI community accounts for over
1 in 10 Nevadans
yet many feel disconnected.
In a 2024 report by the Asian American Foundations (TAAF), it was discovered that nearly
60%
of AANHPIs aged 14-17
agreed to "feeling like you don't belong or are not accepted for your ethnic or racial identity" (19).

However, this can be combatted through
uplifting community and culture.
